Ah Beng views the world......

For the last few weeks, I have witnessed quite a few cases of how human cruelty was imposed onto the vulnerable people. This ranges from children being neglected and abused, wife being beaten and tortured, elderly left in a state of self neglect and isolation, learning disabled being isolated and neglected, unwanted recently born babies left in public etc. This has made me to challenge the underlying meaning of what normality is. Does being normal means suppressing and ignoring the so called socially less disadvantaged people so that the society on the superficial level would look homogeneously acceptable to the senses? Behind the glory of being a developed country lies the dark sides of the human cruelty which is not dissimilar to any other countries....... The only difference is in developed country, the abuse and neglect of the vulnerables is more likely to be detected and broad casted.
And yet, such cruelty is now also cascaded down to the younger population, the patients are getting more unappreciative, the students are getting more challenging. An experienced science teacher in a prestigious school has been arrested for allegedly throwing a weight to a student causing a severe brain injury. I am not sure who the vulnerable victim is here, is that the teacher who was literally bullied by student's unchecked challenging behaviours or the student who lacked parental control and repeatedly showed no respect and self awareness of what limitations mean, and as a result has pushed the teacher over the limit of what he can bear?

Yet after all, we are all the so called human being. Sinning is almost considered as part of the package to be born in this fallen world. On the outset of cruelty, one have to be careful in judging who the victims are......... However one fact is certain though which is that such bad news mentioned above are the sad product of the human sinning.........

Lack of love, control, self limitations and awareness=cruelty.

I wonder how this can cause God's sadness and anger for seeing all these happenings. Yet his patience and faith in us to change are reflected by his mercy upon us........ I guess this can come to an end at sometime before His warth will come upon us.
