It is the time again of Christmas. Samaritan's Purse International Relief is launching its shoe box appeal to the public to shed some sharing spirit with those less privileged children in countries stricken by long suffering poverty and deprivation.
The project is called Operation Christmas Child. What the project aims to do is to send a message of hope to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes. In the bleak mid winter of Sarajevo or under the intense heat of tropical heat in the refugee camp in Sudan or some other places where even the basic needs of humanity are threatened or almost non-existent, a shoe box of gifts given by someone anonymous who cares would send a ray of hope and warmth to those young minds and hearts.
In this world where equality and diversity are the extremes that are hard to meet, the very least we can do is to encourage one another that while the present world is falling, there is a better one to come!

Just think when you are deciding what cake to eat, how those children are going to get their clean and safe water to drink.
Hmm...perharps I shouldn't think of any upgrading of my Canon camera.
