Yes, my lovely wife is pregnant with the second child. As broody as I have always been, this is a great news. When the faint blue line appeared on that little stick, we were cautiously happy for a few weeks, hoping that this is not going to be a false alarm, followed by the inevitable grief of loss and pain. Till the scan confirmed the existence of life in utero, we have been very cautious of whom to tell and whom not to tell saving the torture of telling the bad news a few weeks later. Now we are more relaxed and start to get planning for the arrival of number 2. All those questions of what sex this is going to be, what this little life is going to be like, what names, etcetc have appeared. Undoubtedly, such effect on our lives will be phenomenal. And off course those nappies days and potty training fiasco will restart!!
Anyway, be always positive. Love always, spoil not. Bringing up a life so that it can live to fulfil itself is the ideal that we are striving for. In practical term to love and not to spoil is always a fine hairline difference. I guess this is what a good parenting is all about.
